Twisted Sustainable Table

January 30th, 2008

You don’t often see twisted tables. This Twist Wood Table from Gaiam is a twisty delight. Carved from a single piece of sustainable blonde mango wood, it’s rumored to crack, which will only add to its unique appeal. I like items that become more individualized with time. I really like it. I’m not sure what I’d use it for - maybe a plant stand or for a lamp perhaps. It’s a little small for an actual side table, (10″ square x 22″H) but charming none-the-less.

By the way, you may not be table shopping, but Gaiam is having their annual organic bedding sale right now. It’s absolutely worth checking out. Up to 25% off organic bedding.

One of these days I am going to take a picture of the table I made from wood that came down in a storm years ago. I love rustic furniture!

You should take a picture - then send it to me. Maybe I could post it. We need to get you started in a sustainable furniture making business. You could get the kids involved.

Ha! The kids can hel me with the one thing I always wanted to do, reclaiming furniture. I see so many wooden items just sitting by the curb on trash day. I would love to grab them and repaint them all.
