Reclaimed Recycled Barnwood Sideboard & Sink

by Jennifer on January 27, 2008

Vermont Woods Studios creates one of a kind pieces for your home and offers a multitude of projects available in reclaimed, recycled, barnwood. The end result is an amazing addition for any eco-sensible home. Not only is each piece in this company’s artisan line unique, but they support many nonprofits.

According to the Vermont Woods Studios site the projects they support include

“Kids Saving the Planet, the World Wildlife Fund, and Rainforest Alliance, to help promote sustainable forestry and protection of endangered species. We are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council for our policies on the use of sustainable woods in our furniture. And we are supporters and founding members of the Sustainable Furniture Council, a non-profit created to promote sustainable practices among manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.”

Pretty slick. Plus their work is wonderful. I really adore this Sideboard & Sink piece.

That’s absolutely beautiful I could see that in my home.

Hey, my first SOG comment! Thanks. I could see it in my future home :) You know, or this rental - although, I assume they frown on renovations.

I should show this to my husband. He was a carpenter and makes beautiful things from wood. I could live with this in our bathroom - the one that’s been gutted for five years.

My cabin had siding like this. We had an old fashioned wood cookstove and this would have been perfect in the bathroom. Luckily, we both know how to build, so this would be a great weekend project. You find the best stuff for inspiration, Jennifer.

I want it. Deb can’t have it. My house is old and needs it. Desperately.

Julie, I love those old school cook stoves. In Humboldt we had an old school stove nice, but dusty. This counter top would look good with that. I don’t know about building furniture. I suppose since I built a house I could figure it out though. Hmmm, then again, houses are way different - furniture has all those little touches.
