If you’re going to plan a special dinner for Valentine’s Day; or any old day, you should set your table with eco-friendly dishware. Some great choices… Fire & Light near my old stomping ground of Humboldt offers beautiful, lead-free, crystal clear recycled glass dishes and art in an amazing array of colors (see above). Fire & Light stemware in plum or lavender would be perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Other options: painted-red-plates

Painted Red Plates from Au Lac Designs, a fair trade group. Handmade, food and dishwasher safe. Plus the red is a nice Valentine’s Day touch.

The Heart of Staub Cocotte - cast iron pieces rock. First of all, cast iron is a healthy material for cooking pots plus it equally transfers heat in dishes. Best of all, cast iron looks great forever. This heart piece is handcrafted in a single use mold, so you’re getting a one-of-a-kind creation that’s perfect for whatever you’ve got cooking for Valentine’s Day, or any other meal.

I love this blog. I am always looking for ways to “green up” my living space.

The recycled coloured glass is just my thing- its perfect for Easter – which is fast approaching.

Off to make some purchases ;)

Ha, I thought you were kidding about the comment deal. Funny girl. But thanks for leaving one, and the recycled glass is very cool. Fire & Light is my fave, but other nice eco-glass companies are popping up as well. I have to say, it’s way early for Easter planning though!
