Comment Policy
Anyone real can leave a comment here at Slices of Green. I love to talk, I love blog comments. If you leave a comment I will always try my best to respond.
That said there are some comment rules.
You have to be human - but then you’ll eventually get some link love:
I heard about one nifty comment plugin from Gayla’s blog, Mom Gadget. I’m actually going with another plugin, but it adds up to the same thing. Once you leave some comments, and I know you’re not a spambot you get some link love.
The catch of course is that you’ll have to leave your name. If you leave a keyword as your comment name, I’m just going to assume your comment is spam and delete it. If your linked website looks spammy to me I’ll delete your comment too. Mainly, if you’re a real human you won’t have any problems. If you’re a spammy human I suppose I don’t care if you have problems here.
Using your business website as your comment name:
You may be the coolest eco-company on earth. You may be a perfect fit for Slices of Green readers. Still, if you leave your company name as your comment name, it’s likely I’ll assume you’re spam. If you want a link here, or some props for your amazing eco-product, you can contact me. Tell me about your company or product. There’s a good chance I’ll write a post about it. I get a post idea, you get a plug and a link, no spam questions arise, and it’s all good.
Meanies are out:
If you’re going to leave hateful, rude, obnoxious comments then go elsewhere. I like peaceful blog communities. I like debating blog communities. I even enjoy arguing blog communities - so long as it stays respectful. That said, any comment that’s disrespectful or hateful toward another human being will be deleted.
